Held annually each July, the Art Fairs are comprised of 4 separate award-winning fairs, each with its own history and juried status. The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair (established in 1960) is the oldest and original fair. It is estimated that 500,000 people annually attend the event, which was voted the nation's best art fair or festival in 2004.

Held annually over a 3-week period from mid June thru early July, the Summer Festival hosts dozens of performances and has featured headliner guests such as Gregory Peck, Harry Belafonte and Willie Nelson. The festival also offers an eclectic mix of music, dance, theatre, film, visual arts, and family fun. Top of the Park offers free outdoor entertainment throughout Summer Festival. The 2011 dates are June 17th – July 10th.
